Old Friends are for keeps

                        How was your childhood like?? For me it was full of fun, carefree nature and happy- go-lucky types. I remember the times when I used to have my own bunch of friends with whom I would play, giggle, have pajama parties (Shivani and Swati miss you loads, ‘sob sob’) share my barbie dolls and doll house, innocent mischief's and fights, pull hair, in fact I always thought as a kid that the most harsh punishment that I could ever give to any of my friend was “chal jaa katti” (haha). Oh Lord!!!Childhood is full of innocence and clear conscience. Sometimes I wonder is that child still present within my soul or completely gone astray in this ocean of adulthood.

                      A person meets many people in life but there are only some who leave a lasting impression in our minds. Yes, heard this statement many times and I would wonder, Oh Really!! because my story is slightly different. As I grew up I had fresh bunch of friends in college and later in workplace. My childhood buddies had no longer any room in my heart. It hurts when I say that they literally faded away from my life gradually without even giving me the slightest hint that they were gone. I also agree with the fact  that making new friends is a must but that does not mean we forget old ones.

NEVER LET GO

 

             Now when I sit back at ease and think about it, my heart blubbers. I ask myself why did I ‘LET GO’ of them. However these social networking sites are wonderful tools for people like me who are trying to trace and reconnect with their long lost friends. I found a handful of them over the past few years and was totally elated on finding them. Besides I also thank God from the bottom of my heart in helping me find them.. I fall short of words to explain how it feels to be reconnected with old friends. Memories come gushing in full force about the childhood days we had spent together.

            

              So folks have all these talks about my childhood send you back to your childhood days? If so, what are you waiting for, pull up your socks and set rolling, it’s never too late to reunite with your long lost pals. To reminisce with old friends is like rewinding your memory tape and playing the old songs all over again. So go find them and cheers to every single friendship in the whole universe!!!

            Trust me on this- The human survival is based on friendship irrespective of ones status ,caliber and age. So say cheers and gulp down the flavour of friendship, it’s worth it  :)
