A tribute to student teacher relationship!!!!

Teacher Student-Magnetic bondage.

I very distinctly remember the times when I used to play the typical girly game (teacher, teacher) Oh Lord!! How much I loved scribbling and writing on my small black board and teach my dolls, Maths, Science and English(this one was always by pet subject). There have also been times when I had written on a commonly asked topic in essay ‘An Ideal Teacher’. I used to scribble, cancel, erase and then finally come up with one fair copy of my essay with an aim to impress my teacher or to earn a good brownie point from her ... Such a triumphant feeling it was, when she would praise me on my writings. As a student I always cherished those moments.

But has anyone ever wondered what kind of IMPACT STUDENTS HAVE ON THEIR TEACHERS.. Ofcourse students too leave a mark on the teacher’s mind, they too have a striking impact on teachers. Today I can proudly say that I know what it is to be an ideal student and also an ideal teacher. Both are so strongly bonded that they are totally meaningless and baseless without each other. In simple terms they are dependable on each other. Infact it’s my firm opine that teachers and students are each other’s VITAMIN FORTE.

That's how we are at PAI CLASSES

An ideal teacher has immense magnetic power who attracts her students to attend her lectures by choice and not by compulsion. A teacher-student relationship does evolves with time. When in primary school the teacher usually plays the role of a mother who’s been kind and tender towards her students however in secondary school the teacher becomes more of a friend  who absorbs all their problems like  a sponge and gives them unconditional affection, will power and dedication to overcome their obstacles. A teacher is more of a sidekick for her students during their growing years.

THIS PART NOT TO BE MISSED - There have been times when  my students enter the class with full zest and say ‘Yo Miss’ and not the stereo type ‘Good afternoon miss’. Being an English teacher I have never been in favour of the slang language. But once in a while such gestures of affection from students do lighten the atmosphere of the class and also the mood of the teacher. At times I share with my students thoughts, feelings (and you won’t believe this) our childhood pictures too (I just did that with some of my chirpy students last evening). There have been also some instances where they hide the class room keys and say they want to stay longer and have some fun and would not allow me to wind up.. Sounds crazy but really cool, isn’t it?

I have always tried to adapt to the students need keeping my ego hassles at bay (Ego the biggest enemy of every human) and this has brought me closer to them. Must say that over the last 5 years the bonding between me and my students has been so momentous that I fall short of words to express it. Tears actually well up in my eyes and feel choked when I say that the countdown has begun for my Xth STD (2014-15) batch to depart.

Lastly I would like to wrap up with a messageAN ENTHUSIASTIC TEACHER IS HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS AND CAN CONTAMINATE HER STUDENTS WITH LESSONS ON AFFECTION, UNDERSTANDING AND HUMANITY. SO ARE MY STUDENTS READY FOR THIS BLISSFUL CONTAMINATION. I KNOW YOU ALREADY ARE
